Hi, all! I’m a New York/ New Jersey girl living in Burbank, California with my husband, 3 kids, and two horrible dogs. I’ve worked professionally as a production designer for 14 years, most notably as a senior designer and sculptor at the Macy’s Parade Studio.
I met my husband while prop building and art directing on the preschool TV show Blues Clues, and I still have a soft spot for shows that spark kids' imaginations and get them excited to learn. (That said, I can also identify all four Ninja Turtles by their weaponry because sometimes media is just fun so everybody be cool.)
I’m an active member of SCBWI, a winner of the "Professional's Choice" at the SCBWILA Illustrator's day, and a graduate of the illustration department at RISD.
I am also the author/illustrator of two picture books, The Wompananny Witches Make One Mean Pizza and Milo’s Christmas Parade, both published by Abrams Books for Young Readers. I love making picture books with all of my heart and am always looking for the next story to tell.
I love to work collaboratively. Let’s make something great together!
I was so unbelievably honored to be featured in this beautiful piece by Serena Creative.
I got to speak with Katie Ward of "The Enthusiasm Enthusiast" about making art for a living, the Wompananny Witches, and my constant anxiety over my kids activities! Have a listen!
